The University has a strong reputation of research excellence in Biological Sciences. Our modern laboratories contain some of the latest equipment enabling us to undertake to world class research.  Students have the opportunity to work across a range of research disciplines including, molecular, micro, marine and environmental biology.

We aim to involve you fully in our research programmes by providing research and professional training, providing high-quality supervision. You will also have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and transferable skills in ways that will equip you for a wide range of careers.

The University of Portsmouth Graduate School is a dedicated centre for all postgraduate research students and supervisors.
