Dr Jacqueline Priego Hernandez
Biography
Research-active academic with longstanding experience in international higher education leadership.
My academic trajectory has focused on psychology, health, education and international development issues among children, young adults and deprived populations. I have progressively attained leadership roles in international higher education, entailing scientific diplomacy, business development, and partner relationship management. I am currently leading the British Council-funded project 'TNE as capacity strengthening: Social research methods for sustainable development' in collaboration with FLACSO Mexico and the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education.
I am a chartered member and associate fellow of the British Psychological Society and a senior fellow of Advance HE. I hold a PhD and MSc in Social Psychology from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), which I completed after a first degree in Psychology from Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco, Mexico.
As a qualitative data analysis software trainer for the MAXQDA and QDA Miner packages, I am actively engaged in university-based consultancy and academic training.
Research interests
Having worked in a number of research projects with communities in Latin America, India and the UK, I have a keen interest in the use of participatory and creative methodologies for the study of psychosocial issues. I am also interested in systematic review methods and approaches to the systematisation of multi-country qualitative datasets.
