Summary
I am a senior teaching fellow in accounting and financial management. I joined Portsmouth Business School in July 2014. Prior to that, I spent two years at the Leeds Metropolitan University and the University of Huddersfield as a lecturer where I taught various financial and management accounting modules to undergraduate and pre-masters students.
I’m currently completing a PhD (part-time) in Finance at the University of Portsmouth. I am an ACCA qualified accountant. I have completed a MSc Certificate in Research methods from the University of Portsmouth and I have an MBA in Finance. I graduated in Finance and Banking from University of Dhaka, and am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). I have over five years’ experience in accounting and finance roles, working as an Accounts Officer, Treasurer, Trainee Accountant at private and government organisations.

I am interested in the impact of being socially responsible on firm performance, firm value and cost. My current research interest includes:

I teach on a variety of undergraduate modules in the area of Finance including Advanced Corporate Financial Management, Financial Management, International Financial Management and independent study projects.
