Biography

Shanker is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Energy and Electronic Engineering. He completed his PhD in Engineering from the University of Greenwich on a Vice-Chancellor’s PhD scholarship. His master’s degree in Mechatronics was earned from the University of Newcastle and bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering was studied at College of Engineering, Trivandrum (University of Kerala). He has several years of experience teaching at the university level. He is a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). His current research areas and interests include evolutionary robotics, care robotics and the applications of artificial intelligence in robotics.
