Summary

Tonny teaches International Relations and International Law. His PhD in Law research focused on transitional justice and international criminal prosecution. Tonny worked as a legal officer at Vision Group in Uganda. He has been involved in international human rights work, including participation in UN Human Rights Council sessions in Geneva (Switzerland).  Besides the PhD in Law, he holds an LLM in International Human Rights Law from University of Notre Dame (United States), and a bachelor of Laws degree from Uganda Christian University (Uganda). He has attained specialised training from the European University Institute (Italy), RFK Training Institute (Italy) and Lucerne Academy for Human Rights Implementation (Switzerland). He was a recipient of the VLIR-UOS scholarship under the Sustainable Development and Human Rights Law program at the University of Antwerp in Belgium. He has taught at University of Greenwich and Royal Holloway, University of London. He has also delivered guest lecturers in The Netherlands, Latvia, The USA, Zimbabwe, India and Canada.
