Biography

I am a Research Fellow in the Centre for Blue Governance.

I am interested in the environmental and socio-economic sustainability of capture fisheries, primarily in the UK. My research to date has focussed on the experiences of stakeholders within north-east Scotland’s fishing communities and the impact that Brexit will have on their industry and the Channel fisheries response to abandoned, lost and otherwise discarded fishing gear (ALDFG) and potential solutions incorporating biodegradable fishing gear (BFG).
