He is also an editor for the IJIC journal and a committee member in several conferences. As an academician, he is dedicated to advancing research and education, as well as developing solutions to secure cyberspace.

Biography

Bander A. Al-rimy is a Senior Lecturer in Cybersecurity at the University of Portsmouth since July 2024, with extensive experience in higher education and cybersecurity. His previous positions include Senior Lecturer at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia from January 2021 to June 2024 and Lecturer of Cybersecurity at Coventry University from September 2021 to September 2022, where he also served as the course leader for Ethical Hacking and Cybersecurity. Bander was a Senior Lecturer at UNITAR International University in 2020. In 2023, he was listed among the world’s top 2% of scientists in the ICT category by Elsevier BV and Stanford University. He obtained his PhD from UTM in May 2019. He also has 12 years of industrial experience in various ICT areas, including roles as Head of Network and Infrastructure Department, Senior Systems and Database Engineer, Senior Security Engineer, IT Consultant, Programmer, and DBA Trainer.
