Dr Jianan Lu
Summary
Jianan is currently a Research Fellow at the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance (AEF), University of Portsmouth. Recently, collaborating with four colleagues from the department (AEF) and three researchers from Ukraine (Odessa Polytechnic National University), Jianan won a research grant as the Principal Investigator (PI) for the project " Fintech as a fence for the shock and fuel for the recovery? Lessons from the war".
Meanwhile, Jianan is the Secretary of the Centre for Innovative and Sustainable Finance (CISF) at the University of Portsmouth. Collaborating with two other Centre members, Jianan recently won Isambard Kingdom Brunel (IKB) Bursary Scheme.
Before joining Portsmouth, Jianan was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford (2021-2022). The most recent research output from this post is titled: "Digital Technology and Inclusive Development During Global Crisis: Evidence from A Randomised Control Trial in Bangladesh".
Jianan did his PhD in Finance at the University of Edinburgh (2017-2021). The thesis title is "Social Capital and Financial Development," and it was rewarded with Grade A (clear pass with no correction).
