Summary

I bring extensive experience to the University, both as a practitioner and as a thought leader in leadership and organisational development, having held a number of senior management positions in the public sector, latterly as Justices' Chief Executive.

With international experience of designing and delivering quality management and competitive leadership development programmes, leadership coaching and tutoring I enjoy contributing to  under-graduate and post-graduate leadership and management programmes. 

As a respected adviser to Governments internationally on quality improvement and excellence I specialise in promoting the use of excellence frameworks, performance standards and competency-based management standards.  I am an EFQM lead award assessor and Judge for Excellence Awards.

An active thought-leader and researcher in the field of strategic quality management, I regularly publish and am a sought after speaker at international conferences and public events on the topic of strategic quality management and competitiveness.

I was awarded a PhD in strategy and competitiveness in recognition of my research into - and application of - management development models designed to enhance business effectiveness. I hold an Advanced Diploma in Professional Training and Development (awarded by Cambridge University).
