Dr Rokhshid Ghaziani
Summary
I am a Senior Lecturer in Architecture and Interiors at School of Architecture, Art & Design, the University of Portsmouth. I have been a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and an Affiliate Member of Royal Institute of British Architects.
My research and teaching combine interests in design of schools, participatory design with children & youth, biophilic design and architecture education. I have been involved in organising national and international research events, acting as an External Examiner for PhD and Masters by Research. I have presented my research findings at conferences, worked as a reviewer and guest editor for a number of journals.
I joined the University of Portsmouth in 2022, following five years of teaching and research at De Montfort University. Since 2005, I have taught a wide range of subjects for Architecture and Interior Design courses in various Schools of Architecture and Design, including Coventry University, Birmingham City University, Nottingham Trent University, Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Sheffield.
I have a Doctorate in Architecture, awarded by the University of Sheffield in 2009. I also completed my Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education at the University of Sheffield in 2007 and two Master's degrees - Master of Architecture and MA in Interior Design.
