Chris Watson is a retired Packaging Executive with Sustainability & Circular Economy Expertise
Chris has carved a unique path, transitioning through corporate career in the packaging industry to leading the charge for circularity and tackling the challenge of plastic waste. After a fulfilling career in various commercial and supply chain leadership roles at Dolphin Packaging and then Sealed Air, his current mission focuses on raising awareness and fostering education around resource efficiency and responsible consumption.
His passion for sustainability blossomed during his latter years at Sealed Air, where he spearheaded innovative projects and garnered industry recognition for his commitment. Notable achievements include driving business planning and strategy for the EMEA Food Care division, leading award-winning closed-loop initiatives, and actively shaping corporate objectives on circularity.
Chris holds a B.Eng Hons from Southampton Solent University and is a Chartered Engineer. He currently serves as an advisory group member for the UKRI Smart Sustainable Plastic Packaging program.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys an active lifestyle, pursuing activities in cycling, sailing, skiing, and trekking, whilst capturing precious moments through photography.
