Your packing checklist
It’s only one night and students may be transporting their bag across campus so we encourage packing light!
**Students need to arrive in comfortable clothing/sportswear on the Thursday as the sports and social activities will take place that afternoon.
What to bring:
- 1 small bag/suitcase that they can comfortably manage or carry themselves
- Portsmouth is a city campus, so comfortable shoes for walking are a must
- Enough comfortable clothes for the duration of their stay, including something suitable for physical activities
- Appropriate sleepwear
- Any toiletries that they use on a daily basis
- Any medication they take, clearly labelled with their name and dosage
Other items to consider:
- A towel is provided in the room, but students may prefer to bring their own
- A hairdryer or straighteners
- A waterproof coat in case of bad weather (recommended)
- Sunscreen in case of hot weather (recommended)
- All meals and snacks are provided, but some students may wish to bring a small selection of snacks with them
Attendees can bring items such as a mobile phone, sunglasses, books or a tablet, but please note that the University cannot take responsibility if items are lost or stolen.
What will be provided?
- All bedding
- A hand and bath towel
- Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks in between
- Pen, pencil and notebook for workshops
- Water bottle to stay hydrated throughout their stay
- Bag to hold it all in when walking around campus
