"Seen but not heard: The sound barriers that limit women's leadership"


Against the odds, a growing number of women are taking up senior executive positions in the UK and North America, but if their potential is to be realised we need to understand more about their experiences beyond the glass ceiling.Through the lens of voice, this paper considers the experience of 28 senior women leaders as they seek to be heard.Please join us for what is sure to be a lively discussion.

The University of Portsmouth's Centre for Business Resilience Inclusive Development Growth and Enterprise (BRIDGE) is building bridges between business and society. The centre will:

  • Establish connections with other schools, faculties and centres at the University of Portsmouth
  • Encourage members to maintain their research connections with previous colleagues and supervisors while also seeking collaborations with external researchers
  • Support members in their efforts to identify international collaboration opportunities
  • Enhance research by expanding our business database
