The University of Portsmouth’s Careers and Employability Service has been shortlisted for two awards at this year's National Graduate Recruitment Awards:

  • Careers Service Team of the Year
  • AGCAS Award for Excellence in Careers and Employability Service Engagement

The Careers Service Team of the Year award is hotly contested with other institutions including Loughborough University, The London School of Economics and Political Science and the University of Exeter. The award focuses on the Summer Calling Campaign of 2023, which provided ongoing assistance to recent graduates in finding and securing professional employment.

These awards recognise excellence in student and graduate recruitment and are a major event for our sector. I am delighted and very proud that we have been shortlisted both for our work with students, and also with businesses.

The AGCAS Award for Excellence in Careers and Employability Service Engagement recognises the team's ongoing university-business relationship with IBM. Their collaboration has spanned many years, including the annual mentoring scheme and our recent Changemaker Challenge.

Marc Lintern, Director of Student Employability and Employment, said: “These awards recognise excellence in student and graduate recruitment and are a major event for our sector. I am delighted and very proud that we have been shortlisted both for our work with students, and also with businesses.”

The awards will be presented on Thursday 11 April in front of an audience of 1000 graduate recruiters.
