2024 Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Excellence

The Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence recognise the achievements of ALL colleagues (e.g. academic, technical, and professional services staff, in faculties or central services, whether full-time or part-time) and alumni and members of the community who support or work in partnership with the University.

This year's awards includes 10 award categories aligned with the University Strategy providing an opportunity to demonstrate the diverse ways in which colleagues positively impact the University and beyond. For a description of each category and those eligible for nomination, please refer to the Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Excellence webpages.

Please note that self-nominations will NOT be accepted. Nominees must NOT be made aware of their nomination. Only ONE nomination for an award in ONE category can be made per form submitted.

Please complete this short form which asks you first of all to provide a citation briefly describing the achievement in not more than 200 words, and then, in the second section, more detail and evidence about the achievement in not more than 600 words. 

The short citation will be read out at the celebratory event on 26 November 2024 and posted on the University's website (if the nomination is successful). See examples of successful citations from last year.

Nominations must be received by Friday 11 October 2024.

All nominations will be assessed by a panel comprising members of the University Executive Board, staff and students of the University of Portsmouth Students’ Union, staff from Faculties and Professional Services, and previous Award winners.
