Fellow of the University
Cath has spent her working life supporting young people’s transition into work and adulthood. Following a career as a youth worker, she became CEO of EBP South, a social enterprise and charity that created opportunities for young people to learn about the world of work. For 20 years she led and developed the organisation, leading teams working with schools and businesses across the region, organising work placements and major interactive events that helped to broaden young people’s horizons. Her work included matching young people with inspiring mentors and finding work-related learning opportunities for those struggling with school.
Cath was a founding director of community radio station Express FM, as well as a trustee for Aspex Gallery, Connexions Hampshire, the Wheatsheaf Trust and an advisor with Portsmouth Harbour Marine. Today, she coaches leaders of charities, schools and small businesses, and serves as a trustee of HIVE Portsmouth, which works to alleviate poverty.
