Our Maths Café provides free help and advice in mathematics and statistics to all University of Portsmouth students. No problem is too trivial, and our Maths Café tutors will always do our best to help.
Whatever you're studying, the drop-in sessions are designed to help you develop maths skills in a friendly, informal environment – and they're also a great way to develop and stretch your logical and mathematical thinking.
Services
Maths Café drop-in sessions run daily during term-time and in the lead-up to exams, where students can get one-to-one assistance. No appointment is needed – just come along to any of our sessions in either The University Library or Lion Gate Building.
In addition to drop-in sessions, we run workshops on specific topics. We offer games and puzzles which engage mathematical, logical and strategic thinking skills, and provide information on free online courses, alongside a range of helpful educational resources.
