Professor Nigel Williams

Professor Nigel Williams was appointed to the role of Interim DVC Research and Innovation in January 2025. He is responsible for providing strategic leadership in the development and implementation of the University’s Research and Innovation Strategy.

Nigel joined the University as Reader in Project Management in 2019 and most recently held the post of Associate Dean for Research and Innovation at the Faculty of Business and Law. In this role, he has expanded the faculty’s research and education portfolio, securing significant funding, and fostering inclusive research practices aligned with the University's strategic priorities.

With a career spanning over two decades in academia and professional practice, he has held various leadership roles, including Associate Head for Research and Innovation at the School of Organisations, Systems and People, and Senior Lecturer positions at Bournemouth University and the University of Bedfordshire. Before entering academia, he worked as a Project and Change Management Consultant and Project Engineer in the Caribbean, bringing industry experience to his academic endeavors.
